Course content
|
A completion of the Diploma Thesis is a necessary requirement for taking the State Exam in all Master's Degree study fields guaranteed by the Department of Mathematics. The student obtains the topic of the Diploma Thesis and also the work plan approved by his/her own supervisor with respect to the conditions published on the website of the department. In addition, the work plan contains the instructions how to start the research and how to write the thesis. In the first period, the student mainly familiarizes himself/herself with the relevant literature and discusses suitable research methods. The student regularly reports to the supervisor, and also to other students at seminars. The second period is reserved for the research work, consultations with the supervisor, writing the thesis, finalising and polishing the work.
