Course content
Day 1: The last - what you need to know for its correct selection; Average copy of the last and a network of reference points; basic cuts of half-shoes Day 2: Derby half-shoe - basic cut - construction of upper, lining, interlining, and reinforcing parts Day 3: Derby finishing - cutting out parts and sewing off the upper; Basic cut of instep half-shoe, fake moccasin Day 4: Real moccasin or construction of shin shoes Day 5: Introduction to the issue of healthy footwear; Size systems and production range; Foot diseases, Prevention; Basics of orthotics and prosthetics

The student is interested in shoe design. It is ideal if he already has a shoe design in mind that he wants to solve, and the course will guide him towards the correct selection of the last, the choice of suitable production technology, and the choice of cutting solutions so that he achieves a result with the desired effect.
learning outcomes
Knowledge
The student recognizes and names the basic shoe cuts and is a able to wash the hoof, determine the height of the heel, can empirically approximate the surface of the hoof into a surface, and then divide it and produce individual shoe parts. He understands not only the joining of individual shoe parts but also the production methods, i.e., the way in which the upper is joined to the sole, and chooses the sizes of technological tabs on the parts accordingly. Last but not least, the student can recommend suitable insole equipment and choose corrective aids when working with an individual customer.
