Course content
Content: Introductory part 1-3 - introduction to the field - research of current topics Main part 6-11 - assignment of tasks and research - packaging as an experience - combination of materials, patterns, colors, motifs - work with revealing the layers of packaging - basics of creating 3D layout - materials used and their sustainability - the biggest sins of packaging design - practical typography - typographic rules - excursion to the printing house - consultation of assigned tasks - preparation of data for printing Conclusion 12-13 - finalization of presentations - final test The content of individual lectures may change according to current topics and the difficulty of the tasks.

recall procedures modeling shapes specific forms in graphical editors and by free hand, compare the results achieved on the given field of creation (own and foreign), apply knowledge about materials and their shaping, of basic use of the graphic design field in relation to media and package design,
Skills
to both conceptually and technically solve given task of a field of package design,, formulate and write an explanation and legend of the product, consider the ratio of functionality and aesthetic quality of the product and project it into design and prototype design, to use basic tools of graphic and setting editors,

of present printing technologies (through lessons and excursion to printing factory), of forms and options of package graphic design in a form of a vignette, of a wide variety of technical and aetistical solutions of package graphic design, about historical and contemporary style canons,

to apply the knowledge and skills of basic tools of graphic editors, to solve given tasks technically and conceptualy package graphic design in a form of a vignette, to reflects his work in historical and contemporary contexts, to reflect its work in the context of professional, technical and technological processes, to applys own new views on package graphic design and processing of vignette, chooses the most suitable solution which leads into particular realization,
