Lectures: 01) Forms of space in visual arts and architecture (from ancient Rome to the present) 02) Nature as a model and context 03) Inside and outside - changes in the relationship between interior and exterior in the interval of tradition - (post)modernism 04) Ornament and its silent revolution - Owen Jones, Henri van de Velde, Adolf Loos, Pavel Janák 05) Space - Raumplan, Plan libre etc. 06) Architecture and ideology - the return of tradition 07) Folklore, vernacular, regionalism and architecture without architects 08) The big city and its reflection, a phenomenological turn 09) Ecology, sustainability, environment 10) The problem of truth - the social and ethical dimension of architecture 11) Architecture and emancipation - space and gender 12) Lecture by a visiting expert according to the current situation 13) Excursion Seminar: The content of the seminars will be: 1) presentation of selected topics supplementing and deepening the topics of the lectures and subsequent discussion (each student will present one topic/personality/work during the semester) 2) discussion of topics from assigned texts (4 texts during the semester) 3) discussion of topics from screenings and documents (4 shorter screenings during the semester)
