Course content
1. Information - Information in the art world, its influence, use, and participation in the creation of an artistic artifact. The influence of information on an artistic artifact in general, historically, and currently. What is information in general from the point of view of science, art, and other thought processes?. Digital information, what is it? What is the difference between analog and digital information? 2. Computer science - Artistic approach to the scientific concept of the world, the influence of the development of science, and especially computer science on artistic creation. 3. Digital model - General definition of a model, the term model in artistic and scientific concepts. Digital and analog model. Artistic act and its recording by analog and digital methods. Recording, information, recording information. Digitization of an analog artifact and construction of an artistic artifact in a digital environment. 4. Digital technology - Digital coding of an artistic artifact. The process of creating a digital work of art. Coding. Code and text in bits and bytes. Attributed text. Image as a continuous image in the artist's mind. Recording an image by digital means. 5. Computer networks - Human information networks, social networks. The use of computer networks as a means of artistic communication and as a means of creating an artistic artifact by drawing inspiration from communication sources. 6. Intelligence - The role of intelligence in artistic creation. What is intelligence, and what are the ways of understanding it?. The biological nature of the human brain. Natural and artificial intelligence. Principles of individual types of artificial intelligence and the development of artificial intelligence. The influence and use of artificial intelligence in artistic creation.

to compare and analyze different artistic expressions by criteria of esthetics, semiotics and technique on basic level, to specify basic knowledge of supporting arts disciplines and their techniques and technologies, about historical and contemporary style canons, to recall basic knowledge of several common graphical editors with their specifics and usages,

to work independently and flexibly react to evaluating commentary of the teacher, make drawing sketches of their own compositional designs by hands free in basic graphic editors develop research on the topic, to show own creativity on generally assigned task, to show the will to find different artistic solutions, alter them and constructivelly evaluate, to plan a simple project from design to realization,

of basic differences between bitmap and vector technology including its advantages and diadvantages, of options of use of bitmap and vector graphic programs and their outcomes, of basic technical and technological rules of pre-print preparations and preparations of print itself,

of using visual means and tools of basic graphic editors (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) for creative expresion, proposes surface stylization of visually processed topics and their integration into a graphically effective composition, of basic procedures of suitable pre-print and print preparations for realization of final product,
