|
Lectures: 1. Introduction to health economics. Models of health care financing according to the prevailing form of financing. 2. Sources of health care financing in the Czech Republic - public health insurance, state budget, regional and municipal budgets, private sources. 3. Reimbursement mechanisms in the Czech Republic - capitation, payment per procedure, payment per treatment day, lump sum payment, DRG system. 4. Types and legal forms of ownership of health care entities and their economic aspects - hospitals (teaching hospitals, medium and large hospitals, polyclinics, pooled outpatient facilities), inpatient care, complements (laboratories and X-ray). 5. Types and legal forms of ownership of health care entities and their economic aspects - outpatient health care - general practitioners x outpatient specialists (specialist doctors), dentists, pharmacies, medical transport, ambulatory health care, ambulatory health care, physiotherapy in outpatient health care facilities, home care. 6. Basics of financial analysis. 7. Standard indicators as a reflection of economic reality. Specific indicators in health care. 8. Methods of financial management of health care facilities and financial planning. 9. Controlling as a management tool. Operational controlling - selected methods. 10. Controlling in health care. Seminars: 1. Bismarck's model of health care system in the Czech Republic. 2. Capitation, pay-for-performance and lump-sum payment - principles, advantages and shortcomings. 3. Financing by DRG system. 4. Financing of outpatient health care - general practitioners, specialist doctors, dental care. Financing of complementary services - laboratories and X-ray. 5. Financing of physiotherapy in outpatient facilities. Financing of homecare. 6. Reimbursement of health care - ambulance, ambulance and medical transport. 7. Funding of acute inpatient care depending on the type of health facility. 8. Financing of pharmacies and medicines. 9. Performance evaluation in the health sector - international indicators. 10. Management reporting.

Student/ka se umí orientovat se v problematice financování zdravotní péče, umí vysvětlit základní aspekty veřejného zdravotního pojištění v CR, umí specifikovat základní úhradové mechanismy ve zdravotnictví, umí vymezit specifika finančního řízení, finančního plánování a vybrané nástroje controllingu ve zdravotnictví. |
The student is able to orientate himself/herself in the issue of health care financing, can explain the basic aspects of public health insurance in CR, can specify the basic payment mechanisms in the health care sector, can define the specifics of financial management, financial planning and selected controlling tools in the health care sector. |
