Course content
Current topics will be selected from these areas: Current issues related to the globalization of the world. The problematic areas of the contemporary world, the main problematic areas of civil and regional wars. Causes and consequences of the current conflicts. Selected examples. World civilization, problems emerged from different socio-cultural environment (selected specific examples). Current issues of selected core and peripheral areas of the world or sub-regions at different hierarchy levels. Consequences of uneven distribution of poverty and wealth in different regions Continuity of environmental and economic issues of selected regions. The current geographic issues and problems will be selected from the viewpoint of the world, individual continents, their sub regions, Czech Republic and its sub-regions.

  • Preparation for formative assessments (2-20) - 14 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report) (1-10) - 10 hours per semester
  • Graduate study programme term essay (40-50) - 50 hours per semester

  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 30 hours per semester
