Course content

Basic concepts and approaches of systems theory and cybernetics - an introduction and examples. Systems dynamics: feedback in the technical, social and economic systems, Synergetics, complexity, chaos theory, nonlinear problems, fuzzy systems. Applications in Management. Systems approach to problem solving. Case studies. Modeling and Simulation. Systems design: objectives, priorities, risks, ethical aspects. Systems monitoring, measurement problems in the socio-economic systems. Forecasts, scenarios, technology foresight. Technological and economic trends, competitiveness, growth and employment. System links in the globalization process. Theory of games in economy and management Knowledge-based society, innovation, learning. Soft Skills: creativity, problem solving,mind maps, intellectual property Industry 4.0, Society 4.0
