Course content
1.Authoritarian regimes in Central Europe 2.Authoritarian regimes in South East 3.Transitions to democracy in Central and South East Europe 4.Nationalism and conflicts in the area of former Yugoslavia 5.Political systems of Central European countries 6.Political systems of South Eastern countries 7.Post-communism: problems of political culture in post-communist countries 8.Citizenship, civil society and participation in Central Europe

Learning activities and teaching methods

describe and analyze the political development in the Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia) and other Central European countries in the period from the fall of authoritarian socialist regimes at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s to the present day
