Course content
1. Epistemology of field archaeology 2. Field archaeological projects (based of stratigraphically complex sites, especially in the urban environment) 3. Evaluation and prediction of loci 4. Methods of terrain excavation in archaeology 5. Sampling in archaeology 6. Development and current situation of the stratigraphical excavation method 7. Stratigraphical analysis, synthesis and interpretation 8. Archaeological analysis of buildings and architecture. Selection of approaches and methods of researching the built environment. 9. Post-excavation; methods of the analysis and synthesis of stratigraphic data 10. Creation of site chronology (phasing of stratigraphy) 11. Standards of archaeological field research

  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 45 hours per semester
