Course content
|
Students learn the skill of logical structuring of various types of specialized discourse and rigorous argumentation. In addition to these formal aspects, the course is aimed at enhancing the knowledge of current thematic fields of archaeology. The seminar is based on the discussions on selected specialized publications and the current issues of archaeology. The seminar also includes the presentation of research projects via invited investigators, co-investigators and members of research teams, both from our own workplace and from partner institutions. The students discuss selected issues based on the study of specialized literature, give presentations on assigned topics and participate in group discussions. The feedback obtained in the critical debate will subsequently be considered in the students´ written seminar paper, the topic of which correlates with their forming specialization.
