The main attention is payed to the relation between theoretical and empirical aspects of archaeology, to the transformation theory and to the basics of archaeological method.

Students analyze methodological issues of the current archaeological literature, to understand the relation of theoretical and empirical aspects and are able to apply archaeological methods. Students are oriented in the theory of science, and paradigms. They are able to present the methodological problems of their dissertation work and critically evaluate the approaches of their colleagues in the seminar. |
