Course content
Basic topics: 1. Development and perspectives of prehistoric archaeology (main currents of thought, basic research topics, important personalities, analysis of the assigned literature) 2. Issues of classification approaches in prehistoric archaeology (analysis of assigned literature) 3. The role of experiment in prehistoric archaeology (analysis of the assigned literature) 4. The contribution of ethnoarchaeology to the understanding of prehistoric periods (analysis of the assigned literature) 5. Taphonomy in archaeological research (analysis of the assigned literature) 6. Archaeogenetics and its contribution to the study of prehistoric communities (literature review) 7. Soil as an archaeological source (analysis of assigned literature) 8. Ethnicity and the problem of archaeological cultures (analysis of the assigned literature) 9. Migration in prehistoric times (analysis of assigned literature) 10. Presentation of papers

Learning activities and teaching methods
