Discussion of the basic terminology: Post-medieval archaeology, archaeology of the modern era, industrial archaeology, archaeology of present era, archaeology of modernity, modernization, industrialization, industrial revolution. Comments on the recommended literature. 2 Introduction to the political, economic, social and cultural development of the pre-industrial era. 3Introduction to the political, economic, social and cultural development of the industrial period. 4 Introduction of the history of technology. 5 Comparison of development of the industrial archaeology in England and the Czech Lands. 6 Possibilities and practical application of the industrial archaeology. Examples from England and Bohemia I. Agricultural landscape. 7 Possibilities and practical application of the industrial archaeology. Examples from England and Bohemia II.
