Course content
|
Thematic areas: 1. Introduction to the study of materials division according to structure, characteristics, processing methods, and utilization. 2. Proposal of topics for individual projects according to topic of PhD thesis. 3. Organic materials historical development of their use, basic technologies, structure, characteristics, and utilization. 4. Approval of topics for individual projects after agreement with the supervisor. 5. Ceramic materials historical development, basic technologies, structure, characteristics, and utilization. 6. Metal materials historical development, basic technologies, structure, characteristics, and utilization. 7. Introduction to the analytical methods of material research, methods for evaluating mechanical characteristics. 8. Microscopic methods for material research. 9. Diffraction methods and thermal analyses. 10. Special methods for researching the structure and characteristics of materials. 11. Use of defectoscope methods in archaeology. 12. Practical examples of material research in laboratories (taking place regularly during seminars). 13. Presentation of individual projects during seminars with the participation of supervisors and other students.
