Course content
|
Through presentations and chosen archaeological texts, the students will understand the terminology used in German speaking countries, archaeological methods and literature stylistics. The emphasis is placed on relevance of chosen texts. The students also gain knowledge through discussion about scholarly texts and sources, self-study of recommended literature and sources, and additional creative tasks leading to gaining required competences for archaeologists (analysing German-written sources, understanding of German-written archaeological literature, presentation in front of German-speaking audience, working as part of international team etc.)
