Course content
|
The course is designed for students who wish to complete PhD Archaeology degree in the respective academic year. The exam from Archaeology is an obligatory part of State Final PhD Exam (Programme Basics). It is an oral exam in front of a jury, which generally lasts about 30 minutes. Defence of thesis submitted by a student is a part of it. The course and other requirements of the exam are regulated by the Study and Examination Statute of The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. During preparation for the PhD exam, candidates may use individual or group consultation meetings with guarantors of disciplines relating to the exam areas.

A successful completion of the doctor final exam shows that the student acquired sufficient knowledge, skills and competences in accordance with the requirements of his/her respective study program and study field. The graduate is fully competent in the scientific issues of his/her specialization field and is qualified for the research activity. |
