Basic topics: 1. Selected topics in contemporary archaeology based on the literature - student papers and discussions. 2. Ethics of scientific work 3. Possibilities and limits of the use of written sources. 4. Introduction to historical geography, possibilities of using historical map materials 5. Introduction to iconography, possibilities of using iconographic sources from modern times 6. Introduction to toponomastics 7. Urbanism, spatial planning, urban composition 8. Landscape and landscape architecture 9. Development of landscape and settlements in the medieval period, medieval urban and rural colonization, development of settlement structure 10. Development of landscape and settlements in the Renaissance period, transformation of settlements (towns and villages) and settlement 11 The development of landscapes and settlements in the Baroque period, changes in settlements (towns and villages) and settlement structures, Baroque landscape compositions (composed Baroque complexes), new landscape landmarks 12) Development of landscapes and settlements in the 19th century, growth of towns and suburbs, development of industry and transport (railways), changes in landscape
