Course content
Basic terminology of the archaeological method: transformations, analysis, structure synthesis and their interpretation by means of modelling. They characterize contemporary archaeological paradigms (traditional, processual, post-processual) and their approach to basic methodological and theoretical problems. This course deals with basic termnology as transformations and their classification. Archaeological sources are systemized. Archaeological field work as an analysis of the archaeological sources. Analysis in the laboratory, descriptive systems and their realisation by means of a databasis. Archaeological structure, seraching for the structures in the traditional archaeology, methematical approach to the structures. Interpreattion of the structures. Categories of the living culture, archaeological model and its origins. Using models during analysis and interpretation. Interpreattion of the practical function, social meaning and symbolic meaning. Iteration of the archaeological method.
