Course content
Basic conversational topics and written expression in the Syriac dialect. Greetings, addresses, polite phrases, colloquial forms of grammatical structures such as personal pronouns, possessives, prepositions, numerals, forming questions, tenses of present and past tense verbs and future tense in colloquial form, word order of colloquial sentences, demonstrative pronouns, expression of the verb "to have", colors, date, time.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Preparation for formative assessments (2-20) - 10 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 55 hours per semester
  • Contact hours - 39 hours per semester

Knowledge
- understand the basic grammatical structures of written Arabic, master the verb system - have an adequate vocabulary in literary Arabic - be able to understand and actively use written speech in literary Arabic

- plan your own study and learning independently - use modern information technology efficiently - find the necessary information on various topics in the Arabic language
Competences
independently acquire additional professional knowledge, skills and competences based mainly on practical experience and its evaluation, but also by independent study of theoretical knowledge of the field.

Knowledge
- the ability to explain the adequacy of the use of greetings, addresses and polite phrases in the Syrian dialect - the ability to explain the verb system of the Syriac dialect in the present, past and future tenses - the ability to explain the grammatical structures of the Syriac dialect such as personal pronouns, possessive pronouns, prepositions, numerals, question formation, explain the word order of colloquial sentences, demonstrative pronouns, expression of the verb "to have", colors, date and time
Skills
- use correct greetings, addresses and adequate polite phrases in the Syrian dialect - use simple vocabulary and basic conversational sentences and phrases in Syrian dialect - be able to form simple noun and verb sentences in the correct word order - correctly tense Syrian colloquial verbs in the present and past and future tenses - form questions correctly, be able to use the expression of the verb "to have", colors, date and time
Competences
-according to the developing context and available resources, defines assignments for professional activities, coordinates them and bears ultimate responsibility for their results - plan, support and manage, using the theoretical knowledge of the field, the acquisition of additional professional knowledge, skills and competences of other team members
