Course content
Advanced conversational topics and writing in Syriac dialect. Syriac colloquial forms of extended grammatical structures such as colloquial forms of extended verb stems, imperative verb, situation when using the dual, gradation of adjectives, passive voice, expressions of quantity, expressions which/which, modal verbs in conjunction with a verb of meaning, relative pronouns, conditional clauses - real /unreal condition

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 39 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 55 hours per semester
  • Preparation for formative assessments (2-20) - 10 hours per semester
prerequisite
Knowledge
- use correct greetings, addresses and adequate polite phrases in the Syrian dialect - use simple vocabulary and basic conversational sentences and phrases in Syrian dialect - be able to form simple noun and verb sentences in the correct word order - correctly tense Syrian colloquial verbs in the present and past and future tenses - form questions correctly, be able to use the expression of the verb "to have", colors, date and time

- plan your own study and learning independently - effectively use modern information technology in practice and communication - search for the necessary information on advanced conversational topics in the Arabic language

independently acquire extended professional knowledge, skills and competences based mainly on practical experience and its evaluation, but also by independent study of theoretical knowledge of the field

Knowledge
- the ability to explain the adequacy of the use of extended vocabulary and phrases according to the situational context, to explain the rules of written expression in the Syrian dialect - the ability to explain the colloquial forms of extended verb stems, the formation of imperative verbs, cases of using the dual, ways of escalating adjectives, - the ability to explain the grammatical structures of the Syrian dialect such as the passive voice, expressions of quantity, expressions which/which, explain the use of the modal verb in connection with the verb of meaning, the forms of using relative pronouns according to gender and number, understand the context of the use of conditionals - real/unreal condition
Skills
- be able to converse on extended topics of history, politics, geography and practical cultural topics at an adequate level in the Syriac dialect - be able to write independently in the Syrian dialect, especially in the field of electronic communication on the above-mentioned extended topics - master colloquial forms of extended verb stems, forming imperative verbs, use of the dual, gradation of adjectives, passive voice, expressions of quantity, expressions which/which, correctly use modal verbs in conjunction with a meaningful verb, use relative pronouns, correctly use conditional sentences - real/ unrealistic condition
