Learning activities and teaching methods

Knowledge
- to know all the essential concepts of Islamic theology and law - to identify Islamic rituals and other elements of religious practice - to characterize various Islamic schools and streams, to know the history of Islam - to know and understand the relevant terminology of social and humanitarian sciences.

- to interpret individually the meaning of Islamic terms, particular works, rituals, and use knowledgeably relevant professional terminology - to work independently with relevant literature and sources.

- to realize that Islam, in its particular lived shapes, takes various forms that need to be examined, interpreted, compared etc. - to know important and less known anthropological works dealing with Muslims, to be able to evaluate their contribution and weaknesses - to be prepared for hypothetical field research in Muslim communities and environments.

- to build thematically determined research in the Muslim environment, based on the knowledge of relevant facts from Islamic traditions, theory and adequate methods - to work independently with relevant literature and critically comment on it based on their knowledge of relevant field procedures.
