Course content
1. Introduction to the Old Testament and the history of the canon 2.Introduction to the New Testament and the history of the canon 3. Linguistic prerequisites and the influence of language on understanding the content of the text (Hebrew, Greek), the question of translations 4. Material prerequisites for understanding Scripture (scroll, code) 5. Influence of gnosis on canon formation 6. History of interpretation, Mishnah 7. History of interpretation, Gemara 8. Problems of allegorization (School of Alexandria) 9. Genesis 1-2 analysis (Wellhausen theory) 10. Analysis of selected text from the Prophets 11. Analysis of selected text from the Books 12. Analysis of selected text from the New Testament 13. Example of modern interpretation of a selected philosopher (Buber, Lévinas, Bultmann, etc.)
