- to possess knowledge about the history of the Middle East and North Africa from the antiquity till the 21st century - to possess deep knowledge of the three most important monotheisms - to list and characterize the most important personalities of Islamic thoughts till the 21st century - to know related expert literature

- to define and interpret all essential terms related to the religion of Islam, to describe essential development trends in Islamic history - to work individually with the professional literature, to grasp information from current information sources and critically interpret them - to use effectively modern information technologies - to use actively English, written and spoken
