- to describe the history of Islam - to characterize the development of Islamic thoughts from the Middle Age, to name different theological and juridical school - to know and characterize important pre-modern personalities of Islamic thought and their works - to identify the main topics as well as different related approaches and argumentations - to characterize the religious scenes in Middle Eastern countries - to notice the importance of different Islamic thinkers outside of the region - to understand the relation between religion and political and social life in the region - to define the basic concepts of Islamic law |
