- to describe important events, processes and context of the modern and contemporary history of the region of the Middle East and North Africa - to describe history of main religious traditions of the region - to identify important personalities of religious thoughts till the 21st century - to characterize different regional culture minorities - to characterize cultural systems, social standards and phenomena of the studied region

- to use relevant terminology of social sciences and humanities - to search individually for and work with relevant professional sources - to interpret the importance of specific historical events and processes - to analyse the context of religious traditions and specific socio-political development - to apply anthropological approaches in the study of cultural specifics
