Course content
1) Verbal flexion; especially III and IV stems 2) Cursive script; other syllabic graphems and logograms 3) Lecture of Akkadian non-literary texts - introduction 4) Lecture of Old Babylonian letters - letters from Hammu-rabi I 5) Lecture of Old Babylonian letters - letters from Hammu-rabi II 6) Lecture of Old Babylonian letters - other groups of administrative letters; private letters 7) Lecture of Old Babylonian contracts - debts 8) Lecture of Old Babylonian contracts - real property 9) Lecture of Old Babylonian contracts - hire of labourers 10) Lecture of royal inscriptions - Hammu-rabi 11) Lecture of royal inscriptions - other rulers 12) Introduction into Middle Babylonian 13) Introduction into Neo-Babylonian

- to know rules for reading average texts in Akkadian both in monumental and cursive script - to derive forms of III and IV stems with various groups of verbs - to have the basic knowledge of the Akkadian syntax
