Postcolonialism, Suez Crisis and Arab Cold War 6. Israeli-Arab conflicts 1947 - 1973 7. Middle East and North Africa since 1973 8. Middle East and North Africa in the 21st century 9. History of Turkey 10. History of Lebanon 11. History of Syria 12. History of Israel and State of Palestine 13. History of Jordan

- to know the history of the Middle East and North Africa from Antiquity to the early 20th century - to list and describe the most important historical events, milestones, transformation trends or processes, dynasties, cultures etc. - to describe main elements of religious traditions in the region - to characterize development of three monotheisms

- to identify and describe main events, processes, phenomena and context of the history of the region in the 20th and 21st centuries - to characterize colonialism in the Middle East and North Africa - to identify the specifics of concrete countries and the causes of the differences - to identify key historical milestones and describe the main social processes - to describe the internal political events of selected countries of Mashriq, Israel and Turkey in the 20th and 21st century
