- to enumerate and explain in a broader context the particular historical events and wider historical processes within the region between the 7th and 14th centuries and to determine their importance - to have a comprehensive idea of the history of the region in a given period and all crucial contexts - to identify and explain main elements, streams and representatives of Islam in given period - to explain historical development in first formative centuries

- to study individually selected problems with the help of the relevant literature - to use Czech and English academic sources - to compare character of Muslim dynasties between 7th and 14th century

- to enumerate and describe in a broader context particular historical events and wider historical processes within the region from the 14th century to the World War I - to identify major historical milestones and characterize their importance - to describe the specifics of individual historical periods, governments of different ruling dynasties etc. - to have a comprehensive idea of the history of the region in a given period and of all crucial contexts.
