1. Introduction to the study of space and place in anthropology, archaeology and interdisciplinary comparison 2. Architecture, buildings and their organisation 3. Landscape and natural environment 4. Territoriality, boundaries, place-names, power and identity 5. Anthropology of urban space 6. Imaginary landscapes and their meaning. Understanding the environment in intercultural comparison 7. Methods of spatial analysis 1 8. Methods of spatial analysis 2 9. Place as shared memory and cultural heritage 10. Houses and homes 11. Space and time: chronotypes, orientalism 12. Roads, pathways, and trajectories 13. Gender and space
