Course content
|
The course is designed for students who wish to complete MA Cultural studies of the Middle East degree in the respective academic year. It is an oral exam in front of a jury, which each part generally lasts about 15-30 minutes. The course and other requirements of the exam regulated by the Study and Examination Regulations of The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. The exam has 4 parts: 1. Diploma thesis (discussion) 2. - 3. Compulsory subjects: KBS/SDNSZ History of the contemporary Middle East and KBS/TMNSZ Theory and methodology in the research of cultures of the Middle East 4. Compulsory/ optional subjects: KBS/INSZ Islamic studies or KBS/ZNSZ Jewish studies or KBS/NNSZ Studies of religions of the ancient Middle East During preparation for the MA exam, candidates may use individual or group consultation meetings with guarantors of disciplines relating to the exam areas.
