1. Introduction to the terminology of the science of religion, the concept of religion and its etymology, definition versus theology 2. Brief history of the field, important representatives, R. Otto, religion in philological-linguistic, ethnological, psychological, sociological, phenomenological approach 3. Tribal religions. Religion of Cyclic Time, M. Eliade 4. Ethical break and individualization of faith, discovery of history 5. Relations, objects, actions and attitudes, types of worshiped: objects, forces, beings, gods 6. Religious acts: cleansing, sacrifice, divination, protection, identification 7. National religion 8. Transnational religions, carman systems and theistic systems 9. Henotheism, ethical monotheism 10. Secondary and derived religions 11. Holy actions, holy objects, holy persons, holy times 12. Individual and society 13. Ways to divinity: mysticism, asceticism, superstition and magic, religious speculation
