Course content
Principles of philosophical approach, position of ethics in philosophy. Ethical categories, working with concepts. Principles of ethical approach, place and role of ethics in society. Ethical Reflection of Moral Principles and Classification of Virtues Selected historical ethical concepts, approaches and problems and possibilities of their application. Addressing specific ethical issues in case studies, such as peace and social justice, environmental responsibility and environmental education, the responsibility of science and scientists. The role of institutions and citizens, the role of parents of teachers. Specific issues of moral education of pupils as a moral subject in a democratic society. Role of the personality and personal behavior of the teacher. Code of Ethics for Teacher Profession.

  • Contact hours - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 26 hours per semester

Knowledge
to describe the frequent and significant situations of human action
to list what ethical dilemmas often occur a) in general, b) in the field of school education and education; to look for additional information
to describe a common ethical situation, recognize the severity of the consequences of different solutions
Skills
to explain to the other person the relationship between his actions and the consequences of this behavior
to divide the text or the problem presented into sub-folders and evaluate what is important in them according to the instructions

to describe the principles and requirements of ethical approaches and attitudes in the field of pedagogy
to explain principles and dilemmas and possible solutions to the use of ethical approaches in general and in selected specific situations
to use the basic principles of philosophical and ethical approach in contact with other people and to apply important ethical approaches and principles to specific situations
to justify opinions on various issues of teacher ethics
to distinguish and explain the principles of ethical behaviour and ethics, as opposed to law and morality

to process and use appropriate theoretical resources to solve ethical problems
to address and apply a reasoned opinion on ethical issues in the general situations of pedagogical practice
to assess the suitability of the solution under specific conditions
to integrate the experience of discussion of dilemmas into their actions and to apply them in practical situations
