Course content
History of the term ontology; a relation to metaphysics; fundamental categories; possibility and reality; substance and accident; essence and existence; category; causality; teleology; transcendentals; modern ontological conceptions; N. Hartmann, M. Heidegger (fundamental ontology), W. V. O. Quine (ontological commitment); criticism of metaphysics in the 20th century philosophy (analytic philosophy, postmodernism).
