Course content
1. The overview of the development of German - Czech relations (from middleages till present). 2. Historical, cultural and linguistic parallels (details of Czech and German historical, cultural and linguistic development). 3. Linguistic interactions: Czech, German expressions like toponyms, antroponyms. 4. Centers of Czech culture in Germany, centers of German culture in Czech lands. 5. Jewish among Germans and Czechs and in Czech lands. 6. Attitude and prejudices: "Czech" portrait of Germans, "German" portrait of Czechs - images of Czechs/ Germans in German, Czech culture. 7. Czech language in the role of the foreign language in German milieu. German language in the role of the foreign language in Czech milieu. 8. The activity and importance of Czech-German organizations.
