Course content
|
The aim of the course is to introduce international students to selected Slavic languages (esp. West Slavic and East Slavic) by comparing the development of their phonetic system, vocabulary, ways of enrichment and word formation, morphological and syntactic system. A further acquainted with using methods of comparative linguistics in acquiring other Slavic languages. Slavic studies as a scientific discipline, sources of comparison of Slavic languages. Slavic research - its origins, evolution and current trends. Slavic languages in the context of the Indo-European languages. Comparison of the phonetic and phonological elements on the example of East and West Slavic languages (esp. Czech, Slovak, Sorbian, Russian and Ukrainian). Comparison of the vocabulary on the example of East and West Slavic languages (esp. Czech, Slovak, Sorbian, Russian and Ukrainian). Interferences - selected examples of vocabulary (esp. Czech, Slovak, Sorbian, Russian and Ukrainian).
