Course content
This course is taught in English and requires advanced knowledge of the language. Students will develop skills in delivering presentations, writing abstracts, CVs, formal letters by Anglo-American standards and reading and understanding authentic and professional texts in English.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Seminar
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 58 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 15 hours per semester
  • Contact hours - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for formative assessments (2-20) - 20 hours per semester
  • Individual project (40) - 60 hours per semester

Students will be able to: - analyse professional text nad interpret it, - analyse professional text and interpret it in written form, - summarise/recapitulate main thesis of the read/heard text, - discuss and argue accordingly, - present/deliver a report, paper, and lecture, - produce examples of their own written work in English.
