Course content
- a structured curriculum vitae in a foreign language - an authentic or fictitious business letter meeting the standards required in the French speaking countries (1 page) - a resume from a 150 page long text for specific purposes in a foreign language (3-5 pages) - a coherent text introducing the candidate's own comprehensive written work, e.g. diploma thesis, dissertation or an article published at a conference.

  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 100 hours per semester
  • Individual project (40) - 57 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 25 hours per semester

Students are able to create: a structured curriculum vitae in a foreign language (1 page) an authentic or fictive business letter meeting the standards required in the French speaking countries (1 page) a résumé from a 150 page long text for specific purposes in a foreign language (3 - 5 pages) a consistent text presenting the student´s more extensive expert work (e.g. dissertation, contribution at the conference 3 ¨- 5 pages) The foreign language course is designated exclusively for the students of the Doctoral Degree Programme of the Faculty of Philosophy at the West Bohemian University in Pilsen
