Course content
Week 1 Introduction to the curriculum, literature and requirements. Phonetics and phonology ? basic terms. Russian word stress (character, location, function). The most frequent accentological types. Week 2 Articulation and classification of vowels. Reduction. Articulation and classification of consonants. Phonetic transcription. Meaning-bearing function of Russian stress. Consonant reduction after hard consonants. Week 3 Pronunciation of vowels. IK-1. Feminine gender nouns with moving stress. Week 4 Pronunciation of hard consonants. IK-2. Week 5 Reading of the prepositional constructions. Reading of the groups of consonants. Week 6 Soft consonants. Reduction after the soft consonants. IK-1, IK-2. Week 7 Pronunciation of the soft consonants. IK-3. Moving stress of neuter nouns. Week 8 Reduction of vowels after the soft consonants. IK-4. Week 9 Soft consonants. IK-5. Week 10 Pronunciation of ??? a ???. Pronunciation of some groups of consonants. Moving stress of verbs. Week 11 Pronunciation of foreign words. Week 12 Selected curriculum from the lesson 9 and lesson 10. Week 13 Final test.

to orientate in the basic terminology of the spelling domain (sound, vowel, consonant, etc.)
to orientate themselves in the basic differences of the spelling system of the Russian and Czech languages
to orientate in the terminology of articulation and auditory organs
to orientate themselves in lexicographical manuals and other sources capturing transcription by correct pronunciation
Skills
to master the pronunciation in their own speech in Russian at the level corresponding to B1
to understand the interpretation of Russian-speaking vocabulary
to be aware of possible shortcomings in Russian pronunciation in own production of Russian speech
to perform a basic analysis of Russian speech in terms of pronunciation
to understand the brief Russian text from phonetics and phonology
