Course content
Week 1 Introduction to the syllabus. Information about literature and the requirements. Lesson 1 , pp. 11-16 The elements of the phonetic system of the Russian language. Differences of Russian and Czech phonetic. Specifics of the Russian stress. Vowels reduction. Intonation of Russian sentence , intonation structure IK-1, IK-2, IK-3, IK-4, IK-5. Week 2 Lesson 2, pp. 17- 31 Meeting. Queries to a name, nationality, profession, age, marital status, etc. Links with numbers. Expression of the presence / absence of the person. Polite phrases. Making introductions. Week 3 Lesson 3, pp. 36-50 Company activities. Information about the location and the place of business. Interview about the profession, language skills. Expression of subjective option. Where we are, where we live. Telling about myself. Week 4 Lesson 4, pp. 51- 65 How to ask for subject and specify the nature of object. How to find out the status of the company. How to find out who are owners. Possessive pronouns. How to find out the name of the company. Specification of the words meaning. Week 5 Lesson 4, pp. 66-81 Interrogative pronouns. Use of words "russkij" and "rossijskij". Abbreviations - names of states and organizations, marking companies. Names of profession. Interrogative and demonstrative pronouns. Week 6 Lesson 5, pp. 82-97 Foundation of the company and its activities in the past. Operation of the company on the Russian market. Founders of the company, number of employees. How to express ownership and the absence of something. How to specify company adress and contact information. Abbreviation of adress. Reading of telephone numbers. Week 7 Lessons 5-6, pp. 98-113 How to present a company through advertising or by phone. Business activity of a company. Focus of the activity, description of the production and the merchandise. Mid-term exam. Week 8 Lesson 6, pp. 114-129 Characteristics of merchandise from the consumer?s point of view. Description of services. Verbs of first and second conjugation. Verbs ?to sell?, ?to trade?, ?to buy?, ?to produce?. Inquiries about the price. Characteristics of merchandise. Week 9 Lessons 6-7, pp. 130-145 Company?s advertisement. Presentation of a company. Structure of a company. Names and activities of different departments. Staff. Number of employees. Contents of an example contract. Week 10 Lesson 7, pp. 146-160 Staff characteristics. Adjectives. Antonyms. Basic numerals, numeral phrases. How to ask about a post. How to hire an employee/how to find a job. CV. Week 11 Lessons 7-8, pp. 161-175 Cooperation of companies, business partners. Signing a contract. Example of a business letter asking about cooperation. Business card. Questionnaire for the visitors of an industrial exhibition. Week 12 Lesson 8, pp. 176-192 How to express a fact, event in the past. Presence of a subject in the past. Ongoing actions in the past. Event execution time. Price. Week 13 Lesson 8, pp. 193-200 How to express a relation to someone/something. Repeated or one-time events. How to express the time of an event and stress its outcome. Final exam.
