Course content
Content 1 week Getting acquainted with the subject of French Morphosyntax 3 and requirements for the final exam. Subjonal - shapes and their use. 2nd week Condicional - shapes and uses of the condition of present and past, use of conditional and indicative shapes in conditional sentences. 3rd week Infinitive - Shape and use of an infinitive present and past. Infinitive half constructions. Week 4 Verbo-nominal structures - shapes and uses. 5th week Sentences and sentences. Types of sentences. Coordinate sentence. The sentence is inferior. Secondary sentences proverbial. 6th week Intermediate time phrases - use of times, couplings and prepositional connections. Week 7 Secondary Causal Clauses - Use of conjunctions and prepositions and verb tenses and ways. Week 8 Expression of the result - the use of junctions and hyphenates and verb tenses and ways. Week 9 Differentiation of cause and effect. Purpose phrases - subjunctive use and infinitive, subjunctive in reference sentences. 10th week References - use of indicator, subjunctive and conditional, expression of admission - use of verbal time and methods. 11th week Secondary conditional sentences - use of verbal time and methods (indicia, conditional and subjunctive), other possibilities of expression of the condition. Week 12 Complementary clauses - "comme", "comme si", etc. Use of comparisons in proverbs and words. Week 13 Curriculum recurrence from Morfosyntax 1 -3.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay (20-40) - 40 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 25 hours per semester
  • Contact hours - 39 hours per semester

To speak French at B1 level under CECR
Apply knowledge and skills in the Morphosyntax 1 and Morfosyntax 2 courses
Orientate in French and Czech terminology from syntax
Describe basic differences in the structure of the sentence in French and in Czech
Explain the circumstances or relationships in which the action takes place

Apply the theoretical knowledge about the narrative syntactic phenomena in oral and written speech
Demonstrate the knowledge of the syntactic phenomena discussed
Control basic syntax terminology
Use the correct French couplings correctly
To create the verbal forms of the indicator, conditional and subjunctive

Explain the difference between the presence of the present and the past and the gerund
Discuss the phenomena discussed in the French syntax
Specify the kind of secondary proverbs
Describe the theoretical knowledge of the phenomena discussed using the terminology

To be able to form and enjoy the shapes of subjunctive and conditional present and past in French
Control the creation and use of an infinitive present and past in French
To be able to form and enjoy verbo-nominal links in French
Distinguish the consonant and inferior sentences, the main and the secondary sentences
To distinguish the types of secondary sentences and to be able to use the couplings and the prepositions to express the circumstances or relationships in which the process takes place
