Course content
This course deals with theory of syntactic structure and first of all with specific syntactic exercises. Gegenstand der Syntax, Einteilung der Sätze. Vorfeld, Nachfeld, Mittelfeld, Satzrahmen. Ausklammerung, Thema-Rhema Gliederung. Wesen und Charakteristik einzelner Satzglieder. Die Satzverbindung - Arten der Satzverbindungen. Das Satzgefüge - Allgemeine Regeln, Einteilung, Dass-Sätze. Attributsätze, Adverbialsätze, Partizipialsätze. Infinitivkonstruktionen. Die Negation. Direkte und indirekte Rede.

to be well-oriented in the morphological system of the contemporary German language
to orientate in Czech and German terminology from syntax
to enumerate and identify sentence members in both Czech and German
to describe basic differences in syntax (especially in sentence structure) in Czech and German
to orientate in the basic linguistic guides from the syntax area
Skills
to communicate in German at level B1/B2
to communicate in Czech best native speaker / Intermediate foreign user (B2 and higher)
on examples to identify the matches and the differences in the sentence structure between Czech and German
to produce correct sentences and sentences in German based on the assignment
to confront the production of own manifestations in terms of syntax with basic grammar manuals

to identify and correctly describe the different types of utterances, sentences and sentence structures in German
