Course content
Students will translate authentic texts. Themes: the development of turism and spa industry in the Czech Republic and the Russian Federation, regional policy of tourism, tourism and spa products, activities of tour operators and travel agencies , marketing and management, tourism and spa services, catering and accomodation facilities.

  • Undergraduate study programme term essay (20-40) - 40 hours per semester
  • Contact hours - 26 hours per semester

Knowledge
B2 level according to CEFR for languages (Russian) is required.
learning outcomes
Students will acquire basic translation skills for technical translation or publicistic text about tourism and bath industry, they will manage language and stylistic analysis of the source text. They will understand the problems of traditional translation methods and will be able to use basic translation methods to translate original texts. They will be able to justify their strategy of translation and will better work with dictionaries.
