Content o Week 1. Introduction. Work with a dictionary. Translation of a short text from/to French. o Week 2. Main functional styles, Traditional translation techniques o Week 3. Transposition of parts of speech, Syntactic transposition, Exercises o Week 4. Transposition of French substantives into Czech, Exercises o Week 5. Transposition of Czech adverbs, Exercises o Week 6. Concentration / dispersion, Exercises o Week 7. Concentration / dispersion continuation, Exercises o Week 8. Etoffement / dépouillement, Exercises o Week 9. Etoffement / dépouillement, continuation, Exercises o Week 10. Modulation, Exercises o Week 11. Clausal synonymy, clausal transformation, Exercises o Week 12. Stylistic layers of language, False cognates o Week 13. Revision

Knowledge
have knowledge of the French language at grade B2 according to the CECR to orientate in the basic morphological and syntactic categories of the French language to orientate themselves in the main processes of French word formation to understand the basic specifics of the French professional language in the field of business, commerce and services orientated in functional styles and their characteristics

Communicate in French at level B2 according to CECR Identify basic morphosyntactic phenomena in the French text Recognize individual functional styles Understand French-written texts Use the dictionary effectively
