Course content
Translation as a process. Intraligual and interlingual translation. Basic translation procedures. Work with dictionaries and other linguistic manuals. Characteristics of main functional styles. Analysis of translated text. Translation of commercial, popular scientific and administrative texts. Practice of various interpreting techniques.

  • Contact hours - 39 hours per semester
  • Preparation for formative assessments (2-20) - 21 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 30 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 14 hours per semester
