Course content
|
The course Biological anthropology 1 (BIA1) deals with basics of human biology and a brief outline of function biology. The lecture is an introduction block to biological courses of the study of social and cultural anthropology. I provides some basic knowledge for following courses of biological anthropology (BIA2 and BIA3). During the course a cell is described as a basic unit of human body, its parts and functions as well as basic sorts of tissue and principles of homeostatic mechanisms ensuring integrity of organism and regulation of life processes are explained.Then details of particular organ systems and their function are differentiated. The basics of terminology are taught, as well.
