1. Introduction - focus and objectives of the lecture. Behaviour and its study, classical ethology. The importance of the work of K. Lorenz. 2. The origin of primate ethology and human ethology. 3. Sociobiology and evolutionary psychology. 4. Ethological methods 5. Innate behaviour, instincts, learning. 6. Comfort behaviour. Territorial behaviour. 7. Sexual behaviour - principles of reproduction, mate choice, parenting and offspring behaviour. 8. Social behaviour, aggression, altruism. 9. Feeding behaviour. 10. Tool behaviour. 11. Tool behaviour - protection from predators
