Course content
1. Civil society, civic sector, public sector, non-profit sector. Historical development, definitions and concepts. 2. Civic sector in the Czech Republic, types of non-governmental non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic. Comparing the Czech case to other Central and Eastern European countries. 3. Types and functions of non-governmental non-profit organizations. Basic characteristics of non-governmental non-profit organizations (mission, aims, subject, target group). 4. Legislative framework of non-governmental non-profit organizations - basic regulations. Establishment, operation and termination of non-governmental non-profit organizations. Basic documents of non-governmental non-profit organizations. 5. Economic framework of non-governmental non-profit sectors, basic sources of funding. 6. Fundraising in non-governmental non-profit organizations, its forms, types of fundraising activities and their basic characteristics. 7. Non-profit sector and public services. 8. Social economy and civic sector. 9. Projects in non-governmental non-profit organizations. Project planning in the non-profit sector. Project cycle and project management. Types of projects in non-governmental non-profit organizations. 10. PR activities in non-governmental non-profit organizations. Instruments of public communication. 11. Organization and management, non-governmental non-profit organizations job profiles. 12. Volunteering in non-governmental non-profit organizations. 13. Guest lectures.
