Course content
1. Introduction to the course, announcement and discussion of graduation requirements 2. Function and importance of family for healthy development of the child 3. Historical development of social work with family 4. Social risks for the family in contemporary society 5. Social work with children and young people at risk 6. System of social and legal protection of children in the Czech Republic 7. Social services for families, teenagers and children 8. Specifics of children growing up outside functional family environment 9. Problems of alternative family care 10. Methods and tools for social work with children, adolescents and families 11. Current trends in social work with children, teenagers and families 12. Joint interview during the development of the credit assignment 13. Final reflection on the course content
