Course content
1. Philosophy section 2. Sociology section 3. Anthropology section Detailed course outline: 1. Elements of logos - "sensible language" in applications 2. Problem and concepts of truth 3. The being of man and his ethical nature 4. Ethical principles, questions and dilemmas 5. Sociology for social work 6. The importance of gender in social work 7. Social inequalities and poverty 8. Education as a category of social inequalities 9. Health as a category of social inequalities 10. Anthropological concept of culture in relation to social work 11. Participant observation in the context of the 'understanding' approach in social science and social work 12. Kinship, family and marriage in an anthropological perspective 13. The question of language, speech and communication in the helping professions
